A La Liga guide for Indian fans: how the Spanish league works, kickoff times in IST and the best way to watch La Liga from India.
Spain's top flight is a favourite in India thanks to its technical football and historic clubs. This La Liga guide covers how the league works, the kickoff times in IST and how to watch La Liga from India.
Twenty clubs play home and away across a season, three points for a win, and the team with the most points is champion. The bottom three are relegated, while the top sides qualify for European competition.
Most La Liga matches fall in the evening and late night IST — commonly around 10:30 PM, 12:30 AM and 1:00 AM IST on weekends. Times shift slightly with European daylight saving.
The giants dominate headlines, but this La Liga guide is also about the technical midfielders and clinical forwards the league is famous for producing. The title race and the Clásico are the season's highlights.
